Target
- Long term agenda: to improve the position of wood in structural and decorative use against other materials
- Short term agenda: to pro-reactively influence decision making through a true European network
Focus areas
- Focus on horizontal standardization work and competing materials
- Focus on European level harmonization work to simplify the use of wood in structural/decorative end-uses
Actions
- Act/React properly on EU policy instruments (legislation, standardisation, labelling, certification, public procurement, R&D)
- Coordinate European standardisation (define industry position, e.g. Eurocodes, CEN TC 350, 351)
- EU R&D programmes, especially to support the standardisation process (standardisation related research)
